Birthday LEGO Photoshoot

I decided to do a LEGO themed photoshoot for my boys sixth birthday because they love Legos. Every year I put together a big themed birthday party for my boys and I use the party decor to create a backdrop for a birthday photoshoot. Last year was by far my favorite photoshoot for their Spiderman and Batman themed party. I absolutely loved how the pictures turned out.

Lego Bricks

It was so fun to make these big LEGO bricks for the LEGO photoshoot. I also used this for my LEGO decorations to put in front of the LEGO themed food display table. I saved up old boxes and bought colored bulletin board paper to wrap them to look like legos. I used a hot glue gun and paper to make the circles on the front. Link to Colored Paper

I found bulletin board paper from Hobby Lobby that was cheaper than the options on Amazon. If you have a Hobby Lobby close by I recommend that as your best option. If not I linked some color bulletin board paper you can buy and use to wrap your boxes to make big LEGO bricks.

Lego Props

I adore enhancing a themed photoshoot with creative props. For this LEGO photoshoot, I decided to craft a number 6 using Legos for them to hold during the session. Additionally, I had planned to incorporate a Lego head atop one of the Lego box bricks, which adds an extra layer of fun to the backdrop. If you prefer not to make Lego bricks yourself, you can purchase the ones I’ve linked below for added convenience.

Lego Shirts

I stumbled upon these delightful LEGO shirts on Amazon, and they turned out to be an absolute hit with the boys, both during the LEGO photoshoot and at the party! Not only did they add a playful touch to the occasion, but they also helped create a sense of unity and excitement among the kids. If you’re interested in getting one for your child, I’ve included the links below where you can find shirts with various ages available. Trust me, they’ll add an extra dose of fun to your celebration, just like they did for ours!
