We had the most enchanting Disneyland trip and I can’t wait to share pictures with you and give you all my Disneyland tips.

Disneyland trip 2023

As you know I’m a huge Disney fan and we love going to Disney parks. The boys were almost two years old the first time we took them to Disneyland. It truly is the most magical place. Watch our video of our trip below.

I love making videos of all our trips so we can always keep those memories alive. I wrote a blog teaching you how to make your own video, so make sure to check that out HERE if you are interested in making a video of your next family trip.

First Day was California Adventure

We decided on only two days at Disneyland and spent our first day at California Adventure. I made a two day Disneyland itinerary that helped us have the best day possible. We got on every ride we wanted to and the day flowed so nicely. The key is making sure you get there at rope drop so you can get on lots of rides in that first hour. If you aren’t sure what rope drop is check out my Disneyland Planning guide where I explain it in further detail.

I think the highlight of the day was meeting the boys favorite characters. Sometimes we are so focused on the rides we forget how magical it can be simple just meeting your favorite character in person. The boys became obsessed with Chip n Dale and it was so fun to see them at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. The other highlight was meeting Spiderman. If you plan it right you can always get a picture with him. Usually try and rush over to him after the Amazing Spider-Man show.

Second Day was rest day

In the past we have done back to back park days, but this time we decided to have a rest day in-between the two park days. We stayed at the Anaheim Howard Johnson hotel which was so fun and only a 8 minute walk to the parks. We spent the day swimming at their fun splash-pad and pool. We usually never have time to enjoy the hotels when we go on Disney trips, so this was so fun!

What hotel we stayed at?

If you are looking for a hotel near Disneyland I got your back. The rooms are bright and clean with Disney touches, such a fun water playground and pool, and the best part is the 8 minute walk to Disneyland. Make sure to head to my blog post below to get my link to get 15% OFF your hotel stay!

Character Breakfast

I love doing a character breakfast on our rest day so we can relax and enjoy it. In the past when we have done it in the park I felt rushed and wanted to get back out and ride on more attractions. Doing it on your rest day allows you to actually enjoy the brunch and meet all the characters. Learn more about Character breakfast at Disneyland and which one is my favorite.

Third day was Magic Kingdom

We decided on only two days at Disneyland and spent our second day was at Magic Kingdom.

My two sisters were able to come on the trip with us and I’m so happy they did. They both helped so much with bathroom breaks, and taking them on rides, pushing the stroller, etc. It was so special to share this magical experience with them. How lucky for the boys to have their two aunts there with them.
