Princess Peach Dress
For the dress, I decided to buy a Princess Peach costume instead of making one from scratch. I knew I wanted it to go all the way to the floor for that classic, royal look, and I found the perfect one on Amazon. The color, shape, and details were spot on! To give it even more of that full princess silhouette, I added an underskirt underneath to make it poof out a bit more. It made such a difference and really brought the whole Princess Peach vibe to life.
How to Animate and Style Wig
I really wanted the wig to have that fun, animated cosplay look that makes a Princess Peach costume come to life. I’ve never styled or “animated” a wig before, but for my first attempt, I’m so happy with how it turned out! I watched a few tutorials to figure out the best way to add volume and movement so it looked like Peach stepped right out of a video game. It definitely took some time and patience, but the end result was totally worth it. Honestly, taking the time to animate the wig ended up being my favorite part of the whole costume. See how I made and styled this wig below and products I used!

Wig Video Tutorial
You can watch the videos below to see exactly how I styled and animated my Princess Peach wig. I walk through each step from shaping the curls to adding volume and also show how I put the wig on and secured it in place for the perfect fit.
DIY Princess Peach Earrings
The Princess Peach costume I ordered actually came with earrings, but they were pretty small, and I wanted mine to look big and bold like her character’s. So, I decided to make my own! I headed to Hobby Lobby and wandered through the Christmas ornament section, where I found the perfect round ornaments that looked just like Peach’s iconic blue earrings. I also grabbed a pair of earring hooks while I was there. Once I got home, I used a bit of wire to connect the hooks to the ornaments and they turned out so good! They were lightweight, sparkly, and the perfect finishing touch to the whole look.
Accessories and Makeup Tips
For my makeup, I wanted it to look animated and fun to really complete my Princess Peach costume. I watched a few tutorials beforehand and think it turned out pretty well! I used an eyeshadow palette I bought a couple of years ago for another Halloween costume it’s become my go to every year now. I went with pink eyeshadow, bold black eyeliner, and added white eyeliner on the lower lash line to give that cartoon character effect. I used lots of blush to get that rosy, animated glow, and finished with lip liner and filler to create that defined, cartoon style lip shape. It all came together perfectly and added so much personality to the look!
