Pirate Party Table Decorations
I love setting up a kids table just for the birthday pirate and their crew. I absolutely adore creating the perfect atmosphere for a pirate-themed birthday party, especially when it comes to the pirate party table decorations! I started by laying out treasure map plates and striped napkins for the little buccaneers to enjoy their pirate feast. Then, I transformed the table into a mini pirate adventure with gold coins, treasure chests, and fun pirate props. It’s pure joy watching the kids light up as they dive into their food and pretend play right at the party table.

DIY Table Cloth
For the kids’ table, I rolled out a long sheet of brown kraft paper as the table covering and secured it with blue tape so it stayed in place. Before decorating, I set the plates down in each spot and traced around them, then sketched my designs in pencil before going over them with permanent marker. It was such a fun DIY touch! During the party, I put out crayons so the kids could color in the drawings and add their own pirate-inspired doodles. The paper made the perfect backdrop for crafts too, and when the party was over, cleanup was as simple as rolling it up and tossing it out.

To dress up the table, I printed pirate-themed napkin rings and used my Silhouette machine to cut them out it saved me so much time! Table Centerpieces
Adding table centerpieces is such a fun way to elevate themed party table decorations. I absolutely loved the pirate ship and glass jar centerpieces I added. They made the table look so cute and exciting for the kids. Little touches like these bring the theme to life and make mealtime or party activities feel extra special. Last year, I did a Lego table for my boys’ Lego birthday party, and it was just as fun to see the kids excited by all the little details. For our pirate party table decorations, centerpieces really helped set the scene and got the kids excited as soon as they sat down.

Pirate Ship
I found a wooden pirate ship and gave it a quick paint makeover to make it extra cute for the party it turned out to be the perfect centerpiece for our pirate party table decorations! To add a little treasure, I scattered chocolate coins I picked up at Trader Joe’s, which tied the theme together and made the kids so excited.
Sand Jars
I found these glass centerpiece jars at the dollar store, along with a bag of sand. I filled the jars with sand and wrapped rope around them to give them a fun, pirate-inspired look perfect for our pirate party table decorations!

Print and Download Pirates
I found the cutest pirate clipart images on Etsy and purchased a set to use for the party. After downloading them, I uploaded the designs into Canva and personalized each pirate hat with the kids’ names and they turned out adorable! The set came with a variety of different pirate characters, so you can choose one that looks similar to your child. I printed and cut the images with my Silhouette machine, then glued them onto a black backdrop (which you can also cut with the Silhouette). It was such a fun and easy way to make the decorations feel extra special and customized.
