Print and Frame Them (Start Simple)

One of the easiest ways to get your photos off your phone is to simply print and frame your favorites. I like to choose a couple images that truly capture our personalities not just the perfectly posed ones, but the ones that feel like us. Then I print them through Shutterfly using my Costco membership, which makes it affordable and easy to swap them out whenever we update family pictures. Seeing those photos on our walls every day turns a digital file into something that lives in our home. I’ve linked a few of my favorite frames below if you’re looking for inspiration. 💛

Where I print photos:

I usually print my pictures through Shutterfly because it’s connected to my Costco account and that connection gives me some nice perks. When I link my Costco membership to my Shutterfly account, I automatically get a big member discount (about 51 % off regular-priced orders) on prints and other photo products, plus free economy shipping on orders over a certain amount once the discount is applied. I feel like the quality has always been good, and saving a chunk on printing makes it even better to get those memories off my phone and into frames.

Where to get Frames:

One of my favorite places to get picture frames is IKEA because they’re so affordable and come in so many different sizes and colors. It makes it easy to mix and match for gallery walls or swap out photos whenever I want without spending a fortune. I also love grabbing frames from Target they always have cute, on-trend options that feel a little more styled. And if I want something that comes already printed and framed (which makes life so much easier), Smallwood Home is my go to. Their pieces feel meaningful and high quality, and I love having them displayed around my house.

Create a Family Photo Book

Another one of my favorite ways to get your photos off your phone is by creating a yearly family photo book. I use Chatbooks for all of ours because their app makes the whole process incredibly simple and the truth is, the easier it is, the more likely I am to actually finish it. I have a code that never expires if you want to start one, and I’ve also written a full review on the blog sharing exactly how I make our yearly family photo books. 💛

Turn Photos Into Meaningful Keepsakes

Another sweet way to get your photos off your phone is to turn them into meaningful keepsakes. We love making photo ornaments each year, magnets for the fridge, and custom calendars that let us relive our favorite memories all year long. They also make such thoughtful, personal gifts for grandparents and family. It’s such a simple way to take a digital photo and turn it into something you see, hold, and treasure every single day. 💛

Digital Slideshows (Display them in the home)

Another easy way to get your photos off your phone is by displaying them digitally throughout your home. My parents have an Aura frame, and it’s been such a sweet way for them to see updated pictures of the boys without having to do anything technical we can send photos straight to it. In our home, I display our pictures on my Amazon Echo Show, and I know many families love the Skylight frame for the same reason. We also use a Lovebox, where family and friends can send photos that pop up as little surprises. It’s such a simple way to keep your favorite memories rotating and visible every day instead of hidden in your camera roll. 💛

Back Them Up

One of the most important ways to get your photos off your phone and truly protect them is by backing them up. Printing and displaying them matters, but making sure they’re safe matters even more. That’s exactly why I created my course. I walk you step-by-step through organizing all your digital photos and videos, backing them up to a hard drive, and securely storing them in Google Photos. By the time you finish, everything will be backed up physically and digitally, organized, easy to find, and set up for automatic backup so you never have to worry about losing a memory again. 💛
