I put together a video of our Christmas break. I really make these videos for myself to capture a moment in time so I can look back on it. If you want to learn how to make your own videos, check out my blog post HERE for help!

Our Christmas Break 2023
We had such a wonderful Christmas break. My little sister flew out to Utah and drove with me to Colorado so I didn’t have to go alone. The winter driving conditions always worry me so I was grateful to not have to do it alone. I’m from Colorado so I love going home, but it can be bittersweet. Justin and I grew up there so it has a lot of memories which can be hard.
My parents are in Canada for their church service mission so we weren’t able to spend Christmas with them. (read more about why they are gone Here). My sisters and I decided to get together at our family cabin in Estes Park and spend Christmas together.
The holidays can be so hard for people who have lost a loved one. I’ve learned that I get more depressed when I’m alone during all the holiday festivities and celebrations. I’m always so grateful when friends invite the boys and I to join them. I knew that I did not want to be alone Christmas morning and made sure to plan ahead so that wouldn’t happen. I called my sisters and we made plans together so none of us were alone.

It’s pretty magical spending Christmas in the Rocky Mountains. It snowed two days before Christmas so we had a beautiful white Christmas morning. We walked downtown Christmas Eve to look at all the Christmas lights. Its just the cutest little mountain town. We had a fun Christmas day playing with toys and legos. The boys were in heaven! My oldest sister lives in Colorado and drove up the day after Christmas to spend time with us. My boys love her kids and it’s always good for them to get cousin time since we don’t live by them.
We have started this tradition now of spending Christmas at the cabin, but not sure how much longer I can be transporting Christmas gifts back and forth. Trying to decide if I’ll be able to do it again next year. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break and Happy New Year!

Dear Coco,
